This delicious little cocktail combines our Sweet Orange Blossom Honey with fresh pear, ginger and lemon, and is perfect for ringing in the New Year. Even better - it works great as a mocktail.
Honey Syrup Ingredients:
- 4 pears, sliced & chopped
- 2 Tbsp ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/4 cup Sweet Orange Blossom Honey
- 1 Tbsp light brown sugar
Cocktail Ingredients:
- 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 oz Honey Syrup
- 3 oz Prosecco (for mocktail, use non-alcoholic Prosecco or sparkling white grape juice or cider)
- Garnish: dried pear or orange/lemon rind twist
Honey syrup: In a small sauce pan combine pears, ginger and water. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 15 min, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, mash contents and strain. Add Sweet Orange Blossom Honey and light brown sugar to warm mixture and stir until dissolved. Let cool.
Cocktail: In a shaker, combine ice, lemon juice ad honey syrup. Shake vigorously. Add Prosecco and stir gently until combined. Using a strainer, pour into glass and serve with garnish of dried pear, or orange/lemon rind twist.
Multiply cocktail ingredients by 8 for a punch (uses full bottle of Prosecco).
