Elegant enough for a dinner party, easy enough for a Tuesday. Flaky, golden puff pastry cups filled with creamy brie and a generous spoonful of Bumbleberry Farms Hot Pepper Jam Naturally Sweetened with Honey, these little bites deliver BIG flavor. Sweet, tangy, and just the right amount of heat, they're the appetizer that disappears first every single time.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 4 tablespoons Bumbleberry Farms Hot Pepper Jam
- 8 ounces brie, rind removed and cut into small cubes
- 1 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon Bumbleberry Farms Raw Wild Clover honey, for drizzling
- 1 pinch flaky sea salt
STEPS:
- Preheat & prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin and set aside.
- Cut the pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed 1 puff pastry sheets, thawed and gently roll to smooth any creases. Cut into 24 equal squares, approximately 2x2 inches each.
- Form the cups: Press each pastry square gently into the mini muffin cups, letting the corners fold up naturally to form little cups. Brush the edges lightly with the beaten 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash) for a golden finish.
- Fill: Place one small cube of 8 ounces brie, rind removed and cut into small cubes into each pastry cup. Top with approximately half a teaspoon of 4 tablespoons Bumbleberry Farms Hot Pepper Jam and a pinch of fresh 1 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until the pastry is puffed and deeply golden and the brie is melted and bubbling. 6. Finish & serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes in the tin. Transfer to a serving board and finish with a light drizzle of 1 tablespoons honey, for drizzling and a pinch of 1 pinch flaky sea salt. Serve warm.
NOTES
Make ahead: Assemble the unbaked cups up to a day ahead, cover, and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.
Honey swap: A drizzle of Bumbleberry Farms Wildflower Honey in place of the finishing honey ties the whole bite together beautifully.
Add a garnish: A small sprig of fresh rosemary, thyme or a walnut half on top adds a lovely finishing touch for entertaining.
